Who we help: Start-ups
A growth & discoverability agency for early-stage startups.
For founders with real early traction who haven’t cracked distribution yet. We help you go from 0 to 1: product-market fit, SEO/AEO/GEO discoverability, founder branding, and community, in one system.
The problem
You’ve got real users, maybe early revenue, proof your product works. But outside your own network, almost nobody finds you. You’re burning runway without a real system for discoverability, demand generation, or distribution to show for it.
How we help
We build that system: search and AI-answer-engine visibility (SEO, AEO, GEO) so you show up when the right people are looking; founder branding so your own voice becomes a distribution channel; community that turns early users into advocates; and the paid media to convert that visibility into real pipeline.

Why startups stall

Why MotiveGTM
Most growth agencies at this stage sell ad spend and call it distribution. We start by defining your actual moat and positioning, then build the discoverability and community that compounds, rather than a traffic spike that disappears the moment the ad budget does.

What does a startup marketing agency actually do at the 0-to-1 stage?
At this stage, most of what you need isn’t more content or more ads. It’s a system. We combine product-market-fit validation, discoverability (SEO, AEO, GEO), founder branding, and community so the right people find you and trust you, then paid media to turn that into pipeline.
What is AEO and GEO, and does my startup need them?
AEO (answer engine optimization) and GEO (generative engine optimization) are about being found and cited by AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s AI answers, not just ranked in traditional search. If your buyers research using AI tools, which is increasingly the norm, this matters as much as classic SEO now.
What exactly do you mean by "Community"?
Two things. First, we find and embed you in the communities where your ICP already spends time: relevant subreddits, niche Slack and Discord groups, forums, LinkedIn groups. We do it through genuine participation, not drive-by self-promotion. Second, as you grow, we help you build and nurture a community of your own: a space your users and customers actually want to be part of, not just another broadcast channel.
We’re already funded, do we still need this?
Funding and product-market fit aren’t the same thing. If you’ve raised money but you’re still figuring out who genuinely wants what you built, this is exactly the stage we work with. If you’ve already found real product-market fit, your needs are probably better served by our GTM Engineering or Discoverability work directly. Either way, it’s worth a conversation.
How is this different from just running paid ads?
Paid ads can put your name in front of people. They don’t make people trust you. Most agencies at this stage sell ad spend and call it distribution. We build actual discoverability and real relationships that turn into customers, not just clicks.
What’s the real moat for an early-stage startup today?
It used to be the product itself. That’s no longer true. Shipping is cheap and fast for everyone now, so the real advantage has shifted to mindshare: who gets found, who gets trusted, who gets remembered. That’s the moat we help you build.
